Scenes from the Marketplace: Brickmaking and Basketweaving

Throughout our tour of Egypt, our visitors have explored the shops of the ancient marketplace. Tonight we check in on what's happened this week in the brickmaking and basketweaving shops.

In brickmaking, our tourists really get their hands dirty as they shape the mud mixture into bricks. They also learn about how early Egyptians built their houses and temples from mud bricks. The basketweaving shop allows our guests to make baskets and learn about how Egyptians used baskets.
