It didn't take long before she was SURROUNDED! Lots of kids were more than happy to take samples of her fresh bread.
But then one young man came up and stole money from her!
Our Roman guards were right there, ready to arrest him and take him away. The woman could not understand why he had stolen from her, but he explained that he is starving because he is too poor to feed himself.
Once she heard his story, she told the guards to let him go. She forgave him and did not want the guards to hurt him.
