Tribe time

Our tribe leaders play such an important role in our VBS. Our kids begin and end each night with "tribe time," and they visit the synagogue, playground and Marketplace with these groups.

During the opening and closing tribe times, the children learn about life in a Jewish home and participate in some of those traditions.

They learn about the mezuza, for instance, and they read the Shema inside.

They watch as their tribe leader lights the oil lamp, they eat snacks and bread, and they review the day's lesson and key point.

Within these small groups, our children grow closer to each other and closer to our Father!
