It is right to give Him thanks and praise

On the first night of VBS, Jamba told the children about the Bulgarian orphans that Heritage has helped in the past. He talked about our many blessings and about how we are called to share our blessings with others. Then he challenged the kids to bring change to help pay the $600 it cost to send donated coats to Bulgaria, and he encouraged them to bring coats, jackets and new socks that the Bulgarian children could use.

On the nights since Jamba issued that challenge, our children have really responded! During each Marketplace time, we watch a video that reminds us: "It is right to give Him thanks and praise." As the music plays, the kids add their donations to our Marketplace well.

After last night's donations, the children had already given $220.61 toward the $600 goal. At one point tonight, the well was overflowing with donated coats and jackets. We praise God for these kids' generous spirits. It is wonderful to see our children so excited to help others!
