Day 5: Jesus provides for us

Key verse: "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need."

Tonight we saw a woman accuse a man of being a thief! Once she spotted him in the Marketplace, she wanted to know why he had taken her son's lunch!
The man explained that her son's lunch had fed more than 5,000 people that day. Once Jesus took the boy's loaves and fish, he multiplied that one lunch to feed all those hungry people.

Later on, we had a special visitor at the Marketplace! Jesus came to tell us he loves us.

All week we have learned what Jesus does for us. Our prayer is that this VBS has given our children a better idea of what life was like back in Bibletimes, but more importantly, how much Jesus means to us today!

To everyone who brought children to our VBS:
Thanks for sharing them with us! We have loved having the chance to teach and serve them. We would be delighted to see them again at our Sunday and Wednesday children's activities! Check out our Heritage Church website for more information about classes and worship times for children and adults.

To those Super Servants who volunteered this week:
Thank you for sharing your time and talents with our kids! You have blessed our children and made this a week they won't forget.

To our fantastic children's ministry staff--Jamba, Karen and Diane:
Bravo and THANK YOU for your many, many hours of hard work and your tireless devotion to making everything run so smoothly! We thank God for your talents and that you've chosen to put them to work at Heritage!

To our heavenly Father:
Thank you for the many blessings you've showered on us this week! Thank you for the children who came to VBS, for all the volunteers, for the facilities you've blessed us with. We pray that we have brought glory to your name in all we have done. Father, help us take the relationships we've begun and the lessons we've learned and build on them so we may become closer to each other and ever closer to you. In Jesus' name, Amen.
