...must come down! After the last night of VBS, many volunteers stayed behind to help dismantle the shops and tents in our Family Center.
Again, our Super Servants really came through! The former Marketplace was transformed back into our Family Center in time for Sunday morning worship!
Thanks again to all of you who came, brought your kids, served and were a part of Bible history. We had such a great time. And it doesn't have to stop! You can join us Sundays at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. for dynamic, fun and interactive children's ministry teachings.
We will also be starting a new teaching series in September on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Called C.A.T.C.H., it will be taught by a different special guest pirate each week. You won't want to miss it!
Trunk of Treats is Saturday, Oct. 27, at 6:30 p.m. Come for jumpers, candy, pumpkin-pults and more!
We miss you all, so come see us again soon! Details about our programs for kids, youth and adults are available on the Heritage Church website. We'd love to see you!

Day 5: Jesus provides for us
Key verse: "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need."
Tonight we saw a woman accuse a man of being a thief! Once she spotted him in the Marketplace, she wanted to know why he had taken her son's lunch!
The man explained that her son's lunch had fed more than 5,000 people that day. Once Jesus took the boy's loaves and fish, he multiplied that one lunch to feed all those hungry people.
Later on, we had a special visitor at the Marketplace! Jesus came to tell us he loves us.
All week we have learned what Jesus does for us. Our prayer is that this VBS has given our children a better idea of what life was like back in Bibletimes, but more importantly, how much Jesus means to us today!
To everyone who brought children to our VBS:
Thanks for sharing them with us! We have loved having the chance to teach and serve them. We would be delighted to see them again at our Sunday and Wednesday children's activities! Check out our Heritage Church website for more information about classes and worship times for children and adults.
To those Super Servants who volunteered this week:
Thank you for sharing your time and talents with our kids! You have blessed our children and made this a week they won't forget.
To our fantastic children's ministry staff--Jamba, Karen and Diane:
Bravo and THANK YOU for your many, many hours of hard work and your tireless devotion to making everything run so smoothly! We thank God for your talents and that you've chosen to put them to work at Heritage!
To our heavenly Father:
Thank you for the many blessings you've showered on us this week! Thank you for the children who came to VBS, for all the volunteers, for the facilities you've blessed us with. We pray that we have brought glory to your name in all we have done. Father, help us take the relationships we've begun and the lessons we've learned and build on them so we may become closer to each other and ever closer to you. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Super Servants
It takes a LOT of volunteers to pull off a five-day VBS! Here are just a few of the many, many Heritage Super Servants who made Galilee-by-the-Sea possible.
THANKS for sharing your time and talents with our children!
And a special thanks to Beth M., Cheryl S. and Mary N. for contributing so many photos for our blog!
